Dear Valued Member

The focus Groups Technology & S/4HANA has joined forces! Together we announce the next Master Class on a well know expression in the SAP world: clean core. But what exactly does it mean? What are the best practices to extend your S/4HANA? What kind of extensibilities can be leveraged to keep that core system clean and who did it before you? These days we can’t talk about clean core without mentioning the Business Technology Platform but have you also thought about authorizations? Join us to learn, be inspired and connect!

SAPience.be, our Focus Group Leads and our partners look forward to hosting you!

1.Best practices in extending your core S/4HANA system by Flexso

Extending your core ERP-system is what you do when you want to match it to specific customer needs. When you want to accommodate a specific business process for example, that is not foreseen in standard SAP. But how to create these extensions in a scalable and future-proof way? How to avoid building up a legacy of too much custom code that will hinder upgrades and the adoption of innovations in the future? Do we need to keep the core clean? And if so, how can we do that? In this session our expert, Maarten, will tell you all about it.

2. Key User Extensibility is it key user friendly? by TheValueChain

Key User Extensibility allows key users and functional consultants to extend their S/4HANA Public Cloud with extra data. A nice feature so it seems but is it really a tool for key users or is it something for developers. If you want to find out, take a look at our lessons learned at Steelforce.

3. Extending S/4HANA in a clean core way by Ardo

Ardo asked Flexso to create an application for the reception and quality control of incoming vegetables in the factory. The app is oriented at factory workers that don’t have direct access to SAP or MES systems in those factory locations. Flexso and Ardo jointly created a custom S/4 Fiori Elements application, accessible through “kiosk-pc’s” on the shopfloor. Bart Pelsmaekers (S/4HANA expert developer @Flexso) and Koen Vereecken (Solution architect @Ardo) will show you the application, discuss the design choices that were made and explain how to build such an extension in a clean core way using RAP.

4. How to secure BTP Build work zone as single entry point for Fiori by Joris Ide & Expertum

When combining S/4HANA native apps with BTP custom apps, BTP Build work zone is used at Joris Ide to still have a single entry point. But how to secure this set-up in a conceptual and maintainable way?
